Pushing the limits, body, mind and soul! Fab Bronkhorstbaai Ride on Saturday, 20 June 2020 🤩! Absolutely loved it 💃🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴💨! Clocked ✅ 103,47 km, with and Elevation Gain 🚵‍♀️ of 1,108 m, and burned 2845 Cal 🔥💪😃! This ride also allowed me to complete my June Gran Fondo STRAVA Challenge 💪🚴‍♀️🏆🎖🥳!

Early morn, bike 🚲 washed 🚰🧽🧼 and ready to roll! Little survival backpack 🎒 sorted with nutrition 🍌🍪, water 💦, spares 🔧, and minor medical stuff 💊, in case anyone experienced a mishap 🚴‍♀️💥😅!

We got the Show on the Road, from Rosemary Hill Farm just before 08:30 am, skipping the worst of the winter morning chill ❄️☃️🥶! Zooming down a combination of jeep track and district road 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴💨! Chatted to some cycling buddies en route, always nice! Did a speedy pit-stop at Oxbow Farm 🐄🐂🐎🐃 entrance, and one more little stop for a quick chain lube 🔧 and removal of too much warm gear 🧤🧣🧥! The winter landscape breathtaking 😍! Pedalled up over the hills 🚵‍♀️🚵🚵‍♂️ and down into the valley towards Bronkhorstbaai. Conquered a few thick sand sections, without “buying land” 🚴‍♀️💥😜! Yay, proud of me 😅🥳! Hot cappuccino ☕️ and something to snack on was on our minds. Unfortunately, most coffee shops are closed in The Baai 🔒🤭! However, we persevered and found a little gem on the other side of town, on recommendation of one of the locals, a Stukkie Hemel Kombuis 👩‍🍳! Had the best beef 🥩🐮 hotpot 🥘 ever 😋🥳🤩! The meat succulent, spiced just right and cooked to perfection 😋! This combined with great, friendly service!

En route back, we decided to do some “route scouting” and went up a mountain, and down a little ravine 😃! Adventurous move 💪😁! The scene, a lovely green Blackwattle forest 🌳 and at the bottom, a wild garden of tenacious seeding Kakiebos plants 🌱🌸🤭😝! The seeds are like magnets, sticks to everything 🙃😛! Decisions, decisions 😅🤣! Do you push through or turn back up the mountain 👻🤓? We reach the top again 😜, for a rest and decontamination session 🌱🌸🧦👚🤣! Had the best view ever 🤩🥳, and downhill we went, followed by a small climb out of Bronkhorstbaai, homebound! Adrenaline and joy of a great ride powered the homeward stretch! One more stop roadside, to fuel the body 🍌🍪, and then flat taps 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴💨 to end a spectacular day on the bike 💃🤩🥳! Topped off with a breathtaking sunset 🚗💨🌥📸😍!

Reflecting 👉 Fabulous chilled ride 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴💨! Lunching on divine beef 🥩🐮 hotpot 🥘, chasing down hills, and crawling up other 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴💨🤭😊🥳! Blackwattle-Kakiebos-Jive 😂! Perfect day in great company👌🤩! “One for the books 🎶💃🕺🥳”
