Weekends are made for adventures 😁! On Saturday, 25 July 2020, I enjoyed a fantastic 100 km gravel ride 🚴‍♀️🤩! What do you do on Sunday? 👉 Recovery ride 😂🚴‍♀️😋! The Moo Trails 🐮🐄🐂, as I like to call it, winked at me 😉, and I was a goner 🚴‍♀️💨🤩! Why the Moo Trails?

👉 “Hazeldean Valley Farm was once the home of SA’s biggest Ayrshire herd 🐮🐂🐄. The herd that founded the Woolworths Ayrshire brand of delicious dairy products 🧀🥛, this in 1988. There are still herds of pretty cows 🐮 on the farm 🤩! Hazeldean Valley is situated on the banks of the Pienaars River, just East of Pretoria with bushveld scenery and a lovely farmyard atmosphere. The venue is home to the; Cowhouse Market, Hazeldean Valley Trails, Hazeldean Valley Kiddies Bike Park, Hazeldean Brewing Co. and Hazeldean Trees, which is an Indigenous Tree Nursery.”

My Post-Gran-Fondo Recovery Ride took me onto the Black Trail 🚴‍♀️, River Section, which had been revamped with some route adjustments recently, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience 👌! The trails are well marked and maintained! The route expertly created! There are lovely flowing sections, some twists and turns, little bridges, and here and there a few challenges, activating those quad muscles, helping you up short, steep climbs. The stunning winter landscape, filled with streams, dams, tree-lined Jeep track and fantastic single track is any mountain biker, trail runner and walker’s dream 🌾🍂🍁📸😍!

After 26 km of trail riding, some lovely fresh air, stopping for pretty pics 📸, I popped back to the clubhouse, and enjoyed lovely hot cinnamon-sugar pancakes 😋! Brilliant 5 Star ⭐️ experience 😁!

If you want to take your family or friends for some trail riding 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️, running 🏃‍♀️, walking the dog 🚶‍♀️🐕 (On Leash) or just a family walk, Hazeldean Valley Farm is the perfect place for this! It is also a photographer’s dream 📸, with an abundance of awesome photo opportunities. They strictly adhere to the current COVID19 protocols, and requires patrons to comply 😷!
