🇿🇦 In South Africa Women’s Day is also the day commemorating the 1956 march of about 20,000 black women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country’s pass laws, during the apartheid era in South Africa. It’s annually celebrated on this day, 9 August.
