Weekend Things! Friday, 21 August 2020. REBEL-Day 2020 🎁🎈🥳🍻 was a fabulous affair! Endearing wishes and messages ☎️🖍💌 received, followed by a relaxed and pampered day 🤩! Then the ultimate excitement for the day! 👉 Mother Cow 🐮🐄🐂😁! REBEL-Day 🥳 Trail Night Ride 👀🌚💡🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️💨💃🤩 at Cowhouse!

I was rigged! Bike at the ready, with my little red light at the back and a serious flash of a light, 2200 lumens to be precise, on the handlebars 💪😜. The ride was from 5-8 pm, and as you know, Mother Nature never disappoints! We were treated to a lovely sunset ☀️😍, just before we got onto our bikes to zoom off down the trails for our night adventure 👀🌚💡🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️💨. The first stop was to quickly say hello to the Cows 📸🐮😁!

👉 Then the chase began 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️💨😅! O dear Mother Cow 🐮🐄🐂🤭😂! I suffer from mild claustrophobia 😬🙃! Trails during day-time is something I’m conquering. The “tunnel effect” formed by tall grass and paths that run through bushy sections is a small challenge for the System, but the more I ride trails the better it gets 💪🥳! Same scenario at night 👀🌚💡, with a spotlight, different story 🥺! Goeie Bliksem 🙄! The dust from the “Speedster” ahead of me clouded my vision 🚴‍♂️💨👀😃! My Moerse 2200 lumen light 💡 shifted every time I navigated over rough ground surface 😬, so-much-so that the beam shot into the air, and the trail ahead of me became pitch dark in an instant 🌚😳😅! Mother Sucker 🙈🙉🙊😂! I fitted the light on a section of the handlebar that was too narrow, and the little rubber band securing the light was too loose 🙃! Finally did a quick STOP 🛑 to investigate and my Teamie, did a quick fixie 🔧, sorting the problem for the rest of the ride 👌😁! The lovely crisp night air, after a while, took my mind off the little “System Glitch”, and I forced myself to concentrate on the flow of the trail, having fun, the night-time sounds and embracing the adventure. We zoomed down the trails, bunny hopped over trail-bumps 😁, dodged wet cow poop 💩😂, and just had great fun on the bike. The night creatures came out to play 🦇🦟🐭🐰🐀🦔, and we saw a few rabbits 🐇🐇, a little buck 🦌 and Cows 🐂🐃🐄😃 grazing next to the trail. The ride was absolutely fabulous 👀🌚💡🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️💨👌💪😅! Great experience! Loved It 😻!

Back at the base, 31 km later, we were treated to a lip-smacking Boerie 🌭😋, 0% Beer 🍻 and an inviting bonfire 🔥 to end off a great ride 🚴‍♀️🥳! Best REBEL-Day ever 🥳! Fun 😋! Stay Focused! Stay on Track! Stay Positive!
