Windy Belnori Cheezy Dash 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🌪🧀🥧🍓🥞☕️🐐😅🥳! Just after 08:00 am, on Monday, 9 August 2021, we zoomed off on our mountain bikes, from Pretoria East to one of our favourite coffee stops, Belnori Boutique Cheesery, near Bapsfontein.

It was a true August day, riding into a strong HEADWIND most of the way 🌪🌬🍂🌻🍁🤭😅! Hello WTF, a hill that presents itself as a mountain ⛰😅. Were you always this steep 🚵‍♂️🚵‍♀️😬😜? Huffing and puffing made it to the top 💪😅! Straining against the wind, we chased down gravel roads surrounded by wintery countryside. The “Black Stallion” 🚲 behaving himself beautifully, smooth pedal strokes, chain singing like a little bird. THEN out of nowhere, D-O-G 🐕! The little bugger crawled through a fence and chased me, barring sharp teeth, barking like there’s no tomorrow, threatening to draw blood! My Blood 😳😬😲! Me, well, I screamed like a hysterical toddler, put spark in my pedalling, and prayed for the mongrel to back-off 🚴‍♀️💨💨🚫🐕🤣! Thankfully, it eventually did, without me piddling my pants 🤭😝! Note the spike in my HR ♥️😜! Hysteria session smoothed over, when we passed beautiful horses out on a walk, roadside 🐎🤩.

Arrived in one piece at Belnori Boutique Cheesery! Today, being Women’s Day 🌷🇿🇦, the Coffee Shop was busier than normal. However, as always, we were warmly welcomed by Rina and Norman, our hosts, and our order expertly filled with speed. Rina’s lip-smacking Artisan Meat Pie, Scone and Strawberry Jam + Cream, topped with an Americano, revived the body and sealed the deal 🥧🍓🥞☕️😋😂! Brilliant, friendly 5 Star ⭐️ Service!

⭐️ Belnori Boutique Cheesery produces Hand Crafted Dairy Products. 👉 “The Belnori Boutique Cheesery is situated on a 15-acre Black Wattle plantation belonging to Norman and Rina Belcher and nestles in the Nestpark Agricultural Holdings, near Bapsfontein, part of the Greater Benoni area. The milk used is obtained from their own, very lovable Swiss Saanen herd, most of whom have been reared on the property. The ‘ladies’ live in spacious paddocks, enjoy a healthy diet and produce milk that can really be called ‘organic’. They are sheltered at night in paved wattle-huts. The couple are both cheesemakers and it is difficult to distinguish exactly who makes what. Norman though takes care of the herd and handles each animal daily to ensure that they are always in good health. Rina does the R & D, sees to the packaging – where the feminine touch is evident – makes the Camembert, Brie and such like and sees to the finishing of the products.” – Belnori Boutique Cheesery ⭐️

Apart from our lovely lunch at Belnori, my ride today was fuelled ⛽️ by 👉 PVM Octane, PVM Energy Bar, PVM Octane Gel and a Banana or two 🍌🍌💦💦😋!
